THE FRIENDS

For over two decades, Nancy and Stephanie have shared a unique bond—an unlikely pairing of contrasting personalities that complement each other in surprising ways. Nancy, a sharp-witted homebody with a no-nonsense attitude, stands in contrast to Stephanie’s outgoing yet composed demeanor. Their differences extend to their beliefs—Nancy is an atheist, while Stephanie is deeply rooted in her faith as a “church girl”—but these contrasts have only strengthened their friendship.

Their story began in Hollywood, where Nancy thrived as a publicist for a major studio, later representing some of the biggest names in music, while Stephanie built her career as an award-winning TV and film producer and entrepreneur. Though life eventually led them to different cities—Nancy to Houston and Stephanie to Los Angeles—their shared love for dogs has been a constant thread.

Stephanie is the proud mom of two lively Beagles, Tupac and Snoop Dogg, whose playful antics embody her vibrant personality. Nancy’s home, on the other hand, is a bustling sanctuary for eight dogs—Pittie Cent, Greta, Minnie, Monkey, Precious, River, Stinky, and Savannah. What started as a casual effort to foster homeless pups evolved to a full-time rescue mission. Nancy’s commitment to saving dogs—often rescuing them on the very day they were scheduled for euthanasia—reflects her boundless compassion. At any given time, she also cares for several foster dogs, making her home as lively as it is loving.

Now single women with adventurous spirits, Nancy and Stephanie are ready to embark on their boldest chapter yet: leaving America behind. With ten dogs in tow and an unshakable resolve, these two friends are gearing up for One Great Escape—a journey that will test their resilience and redefine what it means to start anew.

NANCY

Nancy Byron's journey is a testament to the power of reinvention and compassion. Born and raised in England, this mother of two has carved out an extraordinary 30-year career in PR and marketing, seamlessly blending Hollywood glamour with a deep understanding of the music industry. Nancy's tenacity propelled her from humble beginnings as an Apprentice Publicist at Warner Bros. in 1997 to the role of Senior Publicist. In 2004, she boldly took a leap of faith, quitting her job to launch OGPR Marketing & Public Relations.

For 15 years, Nancy was the trusted advisor behind some of hip-hop's most iconic figures, including Chamillionaire, Killer Mike, Paul Wall, Pimp C, 36 Mafia, and Joyner Lucas. Her expertise and dedication helped shape the careers of these artists, showcasing her ability to navigate the ever-changing music landscape with British charm and unwavering determination. As social media revolutionized the entertainment industry, Nancy seized the opportunity to evolve. With her characteristic agility and insight, she shifted her focus to forward-thinking corporate clients like Goodr, a pioneering sustainable food waste management and hunger solutions company she proudly represents today.

Nancy's true passion though lies in the wagging tails and wet noses that greet her at home. For over a decade, she's been a guardian angel to Houston's forgotten canines, transforming her house into a loving sanctuary for eight rescue dogs, including the irresistible senior pit bull, Pittie Cent. Now, Nancy faces a challenge that will test her resourcefulness, heart, and the unbreakable bonds she's forged with her four-legged companions as she prepares for her most daring adventure yet – relocating her furry family to a new country.
